Sam Billings, who has returned after having a stint with Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL) said that there was a lot of buzz around the new-look England teams as players prepare for the Champions Trophy to start on June 1.

"The best thing about the IPL is you share a dressing room with guys from other countries like Pat Cummins from Australia and Kagiso Rabada from South Africa," Billings was quoted as saying in a Cricbuzz report.

England play Ireland in the first of the two-match ODI series against on Friday, May 5. "People are petrified of our side. You only find that out by talking to them. Ben Stokes scores a century, wins three Man of the Match awards and everyone knows what he can do. Then there's the likes of Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler - every person made contributions and showed our depth. So it's interesting to hear what other internationals think of our side,” Billings went on to add.

Since the disastrous 2015 World Cup campaign, England have gone on to make the final of the 2016 World T20. They also posted 444 against Pakistan, the highest ODI team total.

"The buzz around England's reputation in white-ball cricket is amazing - what a transition from two years ago. It's gone full circle, with people thinking we have a seriously good squad. And we probably have ten more who could slot in and do well," the wicket-keeper batsman went on to add.
